Still Safe
The winds are finally dying down, and we might even get some rain this weekend. I hope.
The Hughes fire north of Los Angeles forced the evacuation of Lillian’s cousin, his family, the daughter of our high school friend, and his brother.
Other than living with relatives a bit longer than anyone’s sell-by date, everyone we know is safe and has had no property loss.
The attached map shows that Camarillo, where Lillian and I live, remains far away and out of danger.
On a positive note, the number of people providing food, shelter, and clothing for those displaced is nothing short of a miracle. It is heartwarming to walk down our street, have neighbors express concern, and be ready to lend a hand.
Lillian and I have been blessed to live in all corners of this great land, from the rural south to our nation’s heartland. We’ve lived on both coasts, in big cities and small towns.
Neighbors taking care of neighbors seems to be a common trait.
Happy to hear that you are safe.
Thinking of you and so glad you are still safe! We’ve been thinking of you so appreciate the update!
Linda
thanks and stay warm.
Thank you for the update. You and Lillian are in our prayers.
Rest up and get back into causing mischief.
Neighbors, Family and Friends are blessings from the heart. Beaver Lake has 3 empty bedrooms!
You must be very proud of the young sailors and airmen in your life.
